Synopsis:Gradual Difficulty Maths Topical Tests is a series of six books written in accordance with the latest MOE Primary Mathematics Syllabus. They are written specially to cater to the needs of primary school pupils in their preparation for tests and examinations in schools, and eventually the Primary School Leaving Examination. Each topical test is categorised into different levels of difficulty, thus promoting progressive learning to achieve competency and confidence in the subject. Questions for the topical tests are arranged according to the different levels of difficulty — Basic, Advanced and Challenging. Basic In this level, the questions test pupils’ fundamental mathematical concepts and skills. Advanced In this level, the questions introduced are of increased difficulty as compared to the basic level. The questions test pupils’ ability to consolidate and further develop their concepts and skills. In this level, the questions are complex in nature, testing pupils’ higher order thinking skills. These questions provide an insight to non-routine, open-ended and real life problems normally asked in tests and examinations.
